The national "12th Five-Year Plan" 863 project led by Shandong HFB Photonics Technology Co.


On December 13, 2018, the technical acceptance meeting of the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program) organized by the High Technology Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology was held in Shandong Haifu Photonics Technology Co. The meeting was held on the technical acceptance of the "High Performance Single Fiber 10,000W Fiber Laser Frontier Technology Research Project" led by Haifu Photonics. The leaders of High Technology Research and Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, the acceptance panel, Weihai Science and Technology Bureau, Weihai High Technology Industrial Development Zone Science and Technology Bureau and representatives of participating units attended this meeting.

Liu Jinchang, Director of Manufacturing Division, High Technology Research and Development Center, Ministry of Science and Technology, presided over the acceptance of the meeting. The subject leader and the subject team reported to the expert group on the completion of the project. After the report, the acceptance expert group and the leaders of High Technology Center visited the company's laboratory (including three provincial R&D platforms), production workshop and laser application center. The group tested the high performance single fiber 8KW high power fiber laser on site to the acceptance expert group and demonstrated the application of high power fiber laser in laser welding, laser cutting and laser cleaning equipment.

The expert group gave full affirmation and high evaluation to the implementation effect of the national "12th Five-Year Plan" 863 project undertaken by HDF Photonics and the development of the enterprise, especially the successful solution of large core diameter double cladding all-glass ytterbium-doped silicate optical fiber, pump beamer and other key technologies for industrialization, and the successful solution of the 10,000-watt single-fiber fiber laser System integration technology, including the independent development of intelligent electronic control system, centralized control and unified management of the laser modules, the successful development of high beam quality single fiber 8kW all-fiber laser cutting, welding and other applications of thick carbon steel plate research, the subject applied for 11 invention patents (has been authorized 3), published 18 papers, won two provincial and ministerial awards. After discussion and scoring, the acceptance panel unanimously decided that this project passed the acceptance as an excellent project.

At the end of the meeting, Liu Jinchang, director of the manufacturing division of the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, summarized the acceptance meeting, first of all, he congratulated the successful acceptance of this topic and fully affirmed the level of technology and product development of the company. It is very rare to see an enterprise like Haifu Photonics that can continuously undertake the 863 program and the 13th Five-Year Plan. Regarding the development of the enterprise, Director Liu pointed out that firstly, the company should give full play to its advantageous features in single mode high power and narrow line width high power fiber laser to explore a broader market; secondly, it should strengthen the upstream and downstream interaction and industry chain cooperation; finally, the attention and support from the state will certainly drive the rapid development of Hefei Photon, a high-tech enterprise like Hefei Photon, which should make good use of the favorable conditions to further strengthen the publicity and enhance the Demonstration application effectiveness and brand influence.

The successful acceptance of this project marks another solid step in the field of high-power fiber laser technology, which is of great significance to the technological upgrading of high-power high-performance fiber lasers in China. It has laid a solid foundation for the future development of the company and provided important support for the full implementation of the national strategy of "Made in China 2025".
